Centre of competences Nanosciences Eastern France
C’Nano GE
http://www.cnanoge.org/

Established in April 2005 at the initiative of CNRS, CEA and MESR, the C’Nano GE encompasses all the laboratories or teams focusing on study of nanometric objects in the board domain of nanosciences in the Greater Eastern region of France.

C’Nano GE brings together all major research players in physics, chemistry, biology and medicine to strengthen its national and international role in nanosciences.
The research axes it develops rest upon the regional stregths and specificities : nano-optics and nanobiophotonics, fast optics, micro and nanosystems, nanomagnetism and spintronics, nano-objects, nanosciences and health-oriented materials.
For the fabrication, C’Nano GE relies on the National Technology Facility of Besançon and the proximityFacilities of Nancy and Strasbourg. It trains researchrs, engineers and students on associated technologies and makes these technologies broadly accessible. The preparation, characterisation and study plateforms of its different teams underlie the originality of the research of C’Nano GE.

Centre of competences Nanosciences South western France
C’Nano GSO
http://www.cnanogso.org/

The centre of competences in nanosciences in South-Western France (C’Nano GSO) is one of the 6 competence centres set up at the initiative of CNRS, CEA and MESR.

The C’Nano GSO encompasses 4 regions : Languedoc-Roussillon, Midi-Pyrénées, Limousin and Aquitaine. This territorial extent prompted C’Nano GSO to set up a structure for communication between region as well as specific actions.
This was made possible through the active implication of researchers from all four regions in the Steering Committee. The purpose of the specific actions is to increase interregional collaboration and to ensure a better circulation of information. They aim also at promoting international cooperations, predominantly with the Southwest of Europe.

Centre of competences Nanosciences Rhônes-Alpes Auvergne
C’Nano RA
http://www.cnano-rhone-alpes.org/

Since its establishment in 2005 by CNRS, MEST and CEA, the C’nano Rhône-Alpes Auvergne Centre of Competences in Nanosciences federates its laboratories ans its teams, promotes their innovative projects by faciliting access to the fabrication platforms and by mobilising all the disciplinary skills.

The C’Nano RAA develops and strengthens collaborations with neigbouring Alpine countries and organises meeting with leading international players in the fields of nanosciences.
All the same time, original educational initiatives towards the general public and high school students make young people aware of nanosciences trough experiments, educationals modules , presentations and itinerant stands.
The C’Nano RAA is based at Grenoble and Lyon and benefits from two networks of excellence and from two globally-oriented comptitiveness clusters.
The activities of St-Etienne, Chambéry and Clérmont-Ferrand are also integrated in all the actions of the C’Nano RAA.

Centre de competences Nanosciences Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur
C’Nano PACA
http://www.cnano-paca.org

The Centre of competences in nanosciences for Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (C’Nano PACA) is one of the 6 competence centres set up at the initiative of CNRS, CEA and MESR.

C’Nano PACA is at the interface between fundamental and applied research in Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies for the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region by promoting the scientific exchange between researchers from the regional academic laboratories and the local industries in this fields.
C’Nano PACA helps defining priorities in some selected research fields and funding of collaborative scientific projects. C’Nano PACA helps to coordinate to access to technological infrastructures, to organize scientific meetings and trainig sessions as well as national and international sceintific collaborations.
C’Nano PACA is the academic interface in the field of nanotechnology with competitiveness clusters based in PACA region.
